This is not a good idea. I went on the alcatraz tour a long time ago. The entire facility is falling apart. The prisoners escaped in 1962 by digging through the wall with a spoon. The salt air has degraded the cement and steel to such a degree the entire thing would have to be torn down and rebuilt. The cost of doing this is not worth the amount of prisoners that it could hold. — No electricity, no sewer, no water. all supplies brought in by boat. A complete and total waste of money. The OracleDream.com cost estimate for rebuild with, — first 5 years of operation. 4 to 8 Billion dollars.
